French 19th Century Faux Bamboo Twin Bed Frame

$ 2,650
  • Description
    Dimensions: 50” H x 78” W x 44 ½” D

    French late 19th century faux bamboo pine and bird’s eye maple bed, reflecting the Aesthetic Movement artistry for organic forms in stylized, decorative ways. The headboard projects ringed finials on the sides and above the pediment at center where faux bamboo trim crosses. Bird’s eye maple paneling on all the flat surfaces (inside and out) glows in the light, revealing its signature dotted effect in the wood grain in contrast to the dark ridges of the faux bamboo “nodes” on the turned pine trim. Cleaned and polished with a French paste wax, this antique bed is ready to inspire in your interior. Please view the detailed images. Note that this bedframe is very close to a standard US Twin, differing slightly in size (standard twin: 75” x 38”).
