Good lighting design is always a balance of form and function, and this circa 1960s floor lamp exemplifies that harmony with quiet confidence. Its design, rooted in the clean lines and rich materials of Mid-Century Modern style, still feels relevant and inspiring today.

At a glance, the lamp’s appeal lies in its thoughtful dual-purpose design, a clever fusion of ambient lighting and useful surface space. A polished brass base flares downward in a trumpet-like shape, offering a sculptural foundation that rises into a slender, continuous brass stem. This central column supports a round walnut tabletop, beautifully grained and generously sized, making it ideal for resting a drink, book, or small décor. Above the table, the stem transitions into a series of finely turned walnut segments, warm, tactile, and visually striking, before reaching dual brass sockets and a clean, white drum shade that completes the silhouette.

This piece has been fully restored by our team to ensure it remains as functional as it is beautiful for many years to come. Every walnut element has been carefully refinished to bring out its natural richness and depth, while the brass has been polished to a brilliant gleam. The lamp has been professionally rewired to retain its original dual-socket configuration, and we selected a silk-wrapped cord to complement the refined materials. The included drum shade was chosen for its perfect proportions and understated elegance, and is offered with the lamp as shown.

More than just a lighting fixture, this lamp is a sculptural statement, an enduring example of thoughtful design that brings light, function, and style together in one iconic piece.
