Description
Pair of George IV sterling silver chambersticks. Made by Thomas Ross in London in 1827. Each: Cylindrical socket with detachable bobeche mounted to lobed saucer. Saucer and bobeche have ogee rims interspersed with scrolling leaves. Conical snuffer with ovoid finial set in c-scroll handle with volute-scroll thumb rest. Guaranteed to bring out the adventurous side of a power outage. Fully marked. Very good condition.
