Description
Les Hommes de l’Hombre – Robin
An arresting fusion of industrial history and artistic vision, this sculptural work features a large-scale foundry mold thought to have served as a component in the arm of a rocket launcher. Its substantial wood frame is finished in evocative terra cotta tones, bordered by aluminum accents that echo its mechanical past. The attributed artist, Robin, has imbued the piece with poetic gravity, signing it Les Hommes de l’Hombre—a title that invites reflection on humanity’s shadowed ambition.
Mounted on a powerful I-beam steel base, the structure offers remarkable stability and a bold presence, making it suitable for both gallery installations and large-scale architectural spaces. Its weighty industrial elements contrast with its conceptual nuance, transforming this utilitarian artifact into a striking statement piece.
