Description
Resin sculpture from Marco Olivier.
Marco Olivier is a renowned South African artist and owner of a bronze foundry in Cape Town. He is widely known for his original art in resin and bronze, which is recognized for its unique texture and painting effects. Despite the challenges he has faced in his life, Marco’s drive and never-give-up attitude have helped him to become a successful artist.
Marco is known for installing numerous public art pieces across the country. His artworks are mostly created at his own expense to promote his art business. Some of Marco’s notable public art installations include a 3m bronze sculpture and a 4m face sculpture in Cape Town. His latest addition is a 6m commission face sculpture for a private company.
Marco has been recognized for his artistic talents by various media outlets and platforms. He has been featured twice on the popular South African television show “Top Billing,” and his art was featured on the set of the Netflix series “Blood and Water.” Additionally, various movie industries have used Marco’s artwork as part of their sets. In 2021, he was featured as an artist in the Canadian magazine “Heroldt,” and the online magazine “Décor & Design SA.”
In addition to his public and installations, Marco also offers a range of unique sculpture and limited edition artwork. He also accepts commissions for custom-built sculptures, including portraiture sculptures of clients. Marco also offers structural art for architects and property developers, as well as functional art. -
