Early Walter Lamb Bronze Occasional Table, circa 1945

$ 6,000
  • Description
    Early Walter Lamb Bronze Occasional Table, circa 1945
    A rare early example of Walter Lamb's work, this occasional table features his signature tubular bronze frame with a warm, natural verdigris patina. The top is crafted from solid Tigerwood slats, a richly grained hardwood that has been lightly cleaned and oiled to preserve its character while maintaining authenticity.
    This design reflects Lamb’s pioneering use of industrial materials for outdoor and casual furniture following World War II, when surplus bronze tubing became newly available. The table's clean, fluid lines and organic finishes exemplify the modernist California aesthetic he helped define.
    Materials: Bronze, Tigerwood
    Dimensions: 22.75" H × 23" W × 18" D
    Condition: Excellent vintage condition. Bronze retains its original verdigris patina with minor age-related wear. Tigerwood surface has been professionally cleaned and oiled. Structurally sound and ready for use indoors or out, presents well.
