    Attributed to John Townsend

    Primary Wood: Mahogany
    Secondary Wood: White Pine

    Height: 52 1/2 inches
    Width: 23 3/8 inches

    Reference: An almost identical mirror, but without its original carved and gilded eagle, retains John Townsend’s label. That mirror is in the collection of The Winterthur Museum and is illustrated in John Sweeney, The Treasure House of Early American Rooms, pages 52-53.
