Farnese Hercules, one of the most celebrated representations of the hero in classical art. The original full statue, attributed to Glykon of Athens in the 3rd century AD, depicts Hercules at rest after completing his labors, leaning on his club. This particular reproduction cpatures the head, torso, and partial limbs, with a powerful muscular form and a downward, contemplative gaze.
