Swedish Gustavian Grey Hanging Kitchen Cabinet, Circa 1800
-
Description
This charming Gustavian hanging kitchen cabinet, crafted in pine and finished in a soft grey patina, dates to the early 19th century. Its architectural structure features a single paneled door with molded trim and a lower drawer, both accented by the original iron hardware, including hinges, key escutcheon, functional lock, and a steel hanging ring. The drawer retains its original round iron knob. The beautiful cabinet is crowned with a deeply molded cornice, lending a sense of classical proportion. Decorative recessed panels adorn the sides and front, giving the piece a refined, neoclassical presence. Elegant yet utilitarian, this Swedish antique blends form and function beautifully, making it ideal for kitchens, pantries, or as a statement wall piece in any interior.
This is an antique and having been around for a long time, it will show signs of wear. Antique pieces have very much sought-after character and associated flaws. Please review photos for condition & contact us with questions! -
