1950s Guillerme et Chambron : solid oakwood curved settee
-
Description
The design team of Robert Guillerme (1913–1990) and Jacques Chambron (1914–2001) were renowned for creating a distinctive style characterized by bold craftsmanship, innovative materials, and the promotion of an intimate, comfortable living space. Along with master cabinetmaker Émile Dariosecq (1906-1993) they created the celebrated Atelier Votre Maison in 1949 Lille France. This curved settee in solid oakwood has classic design features, a curved back, unique sculptural wood detail at back, hand carved pad arms connected to the frame with a wood peg and humorous pad feet. Guillerme et Chambron. France, 1950s. Recently updated in a cotton canvas.
