Description
Jane Lounge Chairs By Proisy Studio
Numbered Edition.
The Jane lounge chairs embody the sculptural essence of Proisy Studio’s Modern Cowboy collection : organic, generous, and inherently architectural.
Their rounded, continuous forms evoke the softness of polished stones, where sensuality meets refined craftsmanship.
Each chair appears carved rather than constructed, expressing a calm strength and tactile warmth that blur the line between object and sculpture.
Upholstered in a textured fabric by the French house Élitis, the surface reveals a woven landscape of subtle lines and reliefs, echoing the studio’s devotion to materiality and texture. Balanced in proportion and generous in volume, Jane invites both the body and the gaze, a serene dialogue between structure and softness, between design and comfort.
Jane is part of the Modern Cowboy collection, which revisits and pays tribute to the raw elegance of the American West, reinterpreted through a contemporary lens of refined French savoir-faire. It shares its sculptural vocabulary with this family of pieces, including the Jim sofa, Bonnie daybed, Billy Ottoman and Jessie stools, each piece exploring a distinct balance between design, material, and comfort.
Whether placed in a gallery-like setting, a private residence, or a hospitality environment, together they form a landscape of seating that shifts between intimacy and monumentality, between tactile softness and refined geometry.
Entirely handcrafted in France, Jane combines an upholstered solid beech wood frame with polished and varnished brass feet, subtly grounding its sculptural form.
Each Proisy Studio piece is conceived, drawn, and fully handmade in the brand’s workshops in France, by a dedicated team of artisans combining traditional upholstery and modern cabinetmaking techniques.
All creations can be customized upon request, available in a wide selection of fabrics and finishes, as well as COM.
The studio regularly collaborates with interior designers and collectors on bespoke adaptations, ensuring each project receives a tailored expression of Proisy Studio’s craftsmanship and architectural sensibility.
