A refined 18th-century Italian painting. Artwork oil on panel depicts a splendid landscape with figures, of remarkable pictorial quality. At the center of the composition is a man on horseback, likely a hunter, accompanied by two elegant dogs. Next to him are two peasants seated on the ground, a man and a woman, who appear to be exchanging greetings with the knight.

The landscape is dominated by a magnificent tree and an ancient cylindrical stone tower, lending the painting an Arcadian atmosphere. The rendering of the figures and the meticulous naturalistic details suggest that this is the work of a refined genre painter from central Italy in the mid-18th century. Perfect for landscape collectors, the fact that it is painted on panel makes it even more valuable and rare.
