Description
German Rococo 800 silver box, ca 1900. Hexagonal with straight sides; garlands on stippled ground in rectangular frames, and flowerhead rim. Cover gently raised; large rondel with cherub frolics bordered by rosebuds. Gilt-washed interior. Marks include stamp for Adolf Mayer, a maker active in Frankfurt am Main. Very good condition.
