Victorian silver baby cup. Made by S. Kirk & Son in Baltimore. Barrel-form with curved sides; scroll-bracket handle with leaf cap and scrollwork. Pastoral scene with towers surrounded by flowers and trees; cartouche (vacant) with annunciatory bird flying overhead. Fully marked including maker’s stamp (1846-61) and fineness stamp “11 OZ” (that is, 11/12 or 916) silver. Very good condition.

Overall dimensions: H 4 1/2 x W 4 1/2 x D 3 in. Weight: 5 troy ounces. #CC301
