Description
This stunning Art Deco opalescent glass centerpiece bowl is a fine example of early 20th-century French glass artistry by the renowned designer J. Landier. Designed circa 1930, the bowl features the hallmark elegance and geometry of the Art Deco period, with its clean lines and dynamic geometrically informed natural motifs.
Crafted in molded and frosted glass, this centerpiece bowl exudes a soft, ethereal opalescence that captures and diffuses light beautifully, creating a radiant glow. The design is further enhanced by intricate spiral relief patterns to the exterior surface that add texture and depth with a remarble sense of movement and fractile quality, showcasing the artist's incredible craftsmanship. The frosted exterior create a striking contrast with the smooth, glossy inner surface, emphasizing the bowl's subtle complexity.
Signed "J. Landier". Whether used as a functional piece or for display, this centerpiece bowl captures the timeless glamour and modernity of the Art Deco movement and would be a prized addition to any collection. In Excellent Vintage Condition.
