Description
This long, faceted coffee table by Jacques Jarrige is hand-sculpted in natural oak, its edges cut and carved with characteristic intuition and rhythm. More than a piece of furniture, it is a functional sculpture—defined by subtle asymmetries and a sense of movement embedded in every surface.
The four legs are each cut at different angles, giving the table a quiet dynamism and an almost animated stance, as if shifting slightly in response to its surroundings. The hand-worked surfaces reflect Jarrige’s signature approach: shaping through subtraction, drawing in space through volume and line.
Despite its material solidity, the table feels light and alive—bringing a sense of motion and presence to the environment it inhabits. At once refined and raw, minimal and expressive, it embodies the tension and harmony that runs through all of Jarrige’s work.
This sculptural piece can serve as a focal point in a living space, anchoring the room while remaining open and responsive to light, space, and movement. -
