Description
A collection of three 19th-century architectural sketches depicting various buildings across the United States, capturing the developing landscape of a growing nation. These pencil and ink works reflect a meticulous hand, documenting the structural details and regional character of American architecture during a century of rapid expansion and stylistic evolution.
Circa 1850, these original period drawings serve as a rare firsthand record of the architectural heritage that helped define the early American aesthetic.
Sketches on aged paper, presented in a clean white mat and housed within a simple wood frame - wearing a light patina consistent with their history. Rooted in the Victorian tradition of architectural rendering, these pieces connect to the era's dedication to documentation and the emerging identity of American design. -
