Description
Very large pair of Bohemian glass and marble candelabra
Bohemian, 20th Century
Height 295cm, diameter 90cm
A superb example of Bohemian craftsmanship, this matched pair of candelabra exudes elegance and intricate detail.
Each piece features a central stem composed of stacked cut-glass panels, framed in metal rims and accented with delicate star-shaped beading. From these layers hang strands of faceted glass pendants in assorted shapes and sizes, each finished with a long frosted glass rod and further enhanced by draped beaded chains.
The upper section continues the refined design, with five gracefully curved crystal arms extending from the crown. Each arm supports a finely cut crystal shade with frosted edges. Beneath every shade, glass bobeches are embellished with faceted crystal beads, pendant drops, and frosted rods, creating a dazzling effect as they catch and reflect the light.
The candelabra rest on hexagonal white marble bases, providing stability while adding a touch of understated sophistication. Several of the pendants are marked ‘Bohemian Chandeliers / Preciosa Lustry’, a testament to their authenticity and quality.
With their exceptional detailing and luminous presence, this pair of candelabra offers a luxurious and refined addition to a formal interior or elegant display. -
