Description
Beautifully shaped pair of armchairs in bent plywood shells veneered in rosewood, on a dark wood frame, by MIM (Mobili Italiani Moderni) . Original cover in dark brown leather.
Ennio Fazioli, founder of MIM | Mobili Italiani Moderni, a Roman company that has become a leader in the design world.
MIM was founded in 1958 and handles the entire production cycle of home and office furniture, from design to manufacturing and sales.
Luigi Pellegrin, Vittorio Gregotti, Carlo Scarpa, Renato Venturi, Giuseppe Zammerini, and Ico Parisi are just some of the distinguished designers who worked for MIM.
The historic shop in Piazza Augusto Imperatore, opened in 1964, designed by Luigi Pellegrin, and closed permanently in 2001. An original sign with the famous logo designed by Bruno Munari in 1960 is still visible on one side of the square.
From the capital, he expanded into the European market with showrooms in Paris, Brussels, and Antwerp, eventually exporting his work to America. -
