Description
Designed by Charlotte Perriand in collaboration with Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret and manufactured by Cassina, the LC7 swivel armchair is an iconic modernist design featuring black leather upholstery and a chromed steel frame. Its compact, architectural form combines comfort with refined industrial elegance. The swiveling base enhances functionality while maintaining a sculptural presence. Originally conceived for professional and residential interiors, the LC7 remains a timeless statement of modern design. This piece exemplifies the balance between form, movement, and material.
Charlotte Perriand, Le Corbusier, and Pierre Jeanneret are three of the most influential figures in 20th-century design. Together, they redefined modern furniture by integrating architecture, functionality, and human-centered design. Perriand introduced a strong sense of comfort and everyday use, complementing Le Corbusier’s structural rigor and Jeanneret’s technical precision. Their collaborative work laid the foundation for modernist interiors that continue to shape contemporary design. -
