Description
Depth: 7.75" | This 19th century hand-crafted brass hand warmer would have been owned by a woman of means and filled with coals so she could warm her hands on cold winter nights. The top is beautifully pierced with a flowering peony blossom. Surrounding the flowers is an intricate series of honeycombed incisions, framed with circular bands. A close look reveals detailed scarification marks, making this a fine example to begin or add to a collection.
