A distinguished 19th century Italian white porcelain sculpture by Capodimonte, representing Monarchy or Sovereign Authority. Crafted in Italy during the 19th century, this elegant porcelain work exemplifies the skill and artistry associated with Capodimonte, one of Italy’s most celebrated porcelain manufactories.
The figure of Monarchy is depicted holding a paper, symbolizing laws, decrees, charters, or governance—embodying written authority and the principles of rule. She is presented atop a classically inspired plinth, with carefully executed drapery and refined anatomical proportions, reflecting the Neoclassical style prevalent in 19th century Italian decorative arts.
The sculpture bears the iconic “Crowned N” mark of Capodimonte, confirming its origin and authenticity. The crisp white porcelain highlights the delicate modeling of the figure, from the folds of her robes to the serene, authoritative expression on her face.
