Description
Early lounge chair designed by architect Kaj Gottlob and handmade by master cabinetmaker A.J. Iversen, Denmark, 1936. The chair was exhibited at the Copenhagen Cabinetmakers' Guild Exhibitions in 1937. Upholstered in the original geometric woven textile attributed to Lis Ahlmann, it features a solid wood frame with an advanced suspension system of two layers of copper coil springs that move both horizontally and vertically, finished with traditional horsehair and cotton padding.
