Description
A Rare, One of a KInd and Exquisite Italian Art Deco Secretary / Etagere / Storage Cabinet by Gucci for the Gucci Executive Offices, Florence, Italy, circa 1938.
Since it's birth in Florence in 1921 with Guccio Gucci, the House of Gucci has been synonymous with design innovation, quality and luxury. This iconic and magnificent Art Deco secretary / etagere traces back to the early days of the House of Gucci circa 1938 when the company was expanded by Aldo Gucci. This was a time before Gucci was a worldwide empire. The piece is undoubtedly beautiful in its lines, form and exquisite materials conveying both sobriety and drama, much like the Gucci's themselves. In particular is the use of classic Gucci green 'leather' in combination with the Gucci red tones in the wood which later became a symbol of Gucci. Yet, it is also more than a secretary. It is a one of a kind object sat on and used by the Gucci's themselves in the Executive office suite and provides a look into the personal style and taste of the Gucci's that few have had access to. In addition\ to the chair, the desk and secretary complete the executive office suite are also available separately. This is a rare opportunity to own beautiful, exquisite pieces from Italy's most notorious family and most watched company that have never been available before. - More Information
