Unique 19th century Biedermeier chest of drawers from the period around 1840 in Bavaria/ Germany. This remarkable antique Biedermeier commode shows a fantastic straight shaped design, veneered with absolutely amazing looking, rarely used poplar wood. Providing four drawers, whereby the top drawer is a bit narrower, this exceptional German Biedermeier dresser impresses with its outstanding mirror-matched grain and beautifully carved cherrywood pilaster strips. Another highlight is the slightly forward setted upper drawer section. Inlayed ebonized key blades as well as ebonized feet finalize the incredible look of this unusual, valuable 19th century Biedermeier chest of drawers from South Germany. This chest of drawers still keeps the original, fully functional locks.
