A truly beautiful and one of a kind piece designed by the Finnish designer Annikki Hovisaari for Arabia. The dish is in earthly natural colours bringing an organic feel and adding a comforting dimension to the art piece. Signed to the back AH and Arabia.
Annikki Hovisaari (1913-2004) was an award-winning Finnish ceramic artist. Hovisaari studied ceramics at the Central School of Industrial Arts in 1946-1949. After graduating Hovisaari was employed at the Art Industry department of the Arabia factory. In 1963, Hovisaari moved to the Art department of the factory, where she worked until she retired in 1975. Hovisaari designed and manufactured ceramic products from coarse chamotte mass, porcelain and stoneware. During her career, Hovisaari designed decorative items, unique works and household ceramic items such as bowls and vases. - More Information
