Before Niccolini, there was no rope and tassel chair and this design is quite possibly the first. Glowing gilt frames seduce with patina only time can gift. Solid wrought iron frames in red bole clay style, a method used for centuries that adds a rich and vibrant undertone to the gold. The red peeking through creates a "distressed" or antique finish that is historically desirable in traditional gilding. Thick iron frames lend the chairs some weight making them incredibly strong and sturdy. Shown with new cushions upholstered in soft leopard velvet.
