Description
Constructivist armchair - Carmina -designed by Carlo Santi for Arflex in 1975 . Solid wood and original padded fabric .
Carlo Santi, born in Milan in 1925, was a renowned Italian architect and urban planner. Initially, Santi served a brief apprenticeship in Giovanni Muzio's studio, before devoting himself to studying the urban context of Milan and Lombardy in general. In addition to his reputation in the field of urban planning, Santi also made significant contributions to architecture. One example of this was his involvement in the design of the IACP Chiesa Rossa neighborhood in Milan, which took place between 1960 and 1966. He also contributed to the creation of the television post-production studios known as Green Movie. Throughout his career, Santi published several notable works, including "The Use of Mathematical Models in the Field of Urban Studies" in 1967 and "Other Working, Other Living" in 1972. Santi died in 2004. -
