Description
Linear Bookcase
The Linear Bookcase is a sculptural interpretation of mid-century modern shelving, defined by clean architectural lines, balanced proportions, and an emphasis on negative space. Inspired by the disciplined elegance of classic modernism and thoughtfully reimagined for contemporary interiors, this piece functions as both storage and statement.
Its open, asymmetrical layout creates visual rhythm while allowing books, objects, and art to breathe. The slim profile and precise geometry give the bookcase a light, architectural presence—equally suited for living rooms, offices, libraries, or dining spaces. Whether styled minimally or fully curated, the Linear Bookcase anchors a room without overwhelming it.
The Linear Bookcase is fully customizable to meet the needs of your space and project. Clients may select from a range of overall dimensions, shelf configurations, wood species, and finishes, as well as optional metal base details. Proportions can be adjusted to create a low, horizontal profile or a taller, more vertical composition. Each bookcase is made to order, ensuring a tailored result that feels intentional and site-specific. Request a sample kit or schedule a design consultation to explore finish options and configurations.
Carlos Solano’s design philosophy is grounded in the principles of mid-century modernism—clarity of form, balance, and respect for material—translated through a contemporary lens. His work favors restraint over excess, where structure, proportion, and craftsmanship take precedence over ornamentation. The Studio Originals collection reflects this ethos, beginning with timeless foundations that evolve through customization, allowing each piece to feel personal yet enduring. The Linear Bookcase embodies this approach: architectural, versatile, and designed to adapt seamlessly to modern living.
Handcrafted in Connecticut, serving clients in CT, NY, NJ, and nationwide. -
