A Rare, Original Production of a design icon, Series Up 2000, Up 3 Armchair / Lounge Chair by the legendary designer Gaetano Pesce for the premiere Italian manufacturer, B&B Italia circa 1969. The piece is in the shape of a tip of a penis reflecting the changing and open social attitudes towards sexuality in the late 1960's. The piece stands at a beautiful sculptural work of art, a comfortable and relaxing chair while making making a whimsical social statement. The chair was composed using innovative injection molded polyurethane foam and was sold in a cardboard box when opened expanded to the life size of the chair! The piece has all labels, markings and. serial numbers certifying its origin. Dimensions: H 28" x W 36" x D34".
