Description
This lounge chair is an elegant evidence of the mastery and artistry of the European cabinetmakers who defined modern seating. This chair is of the highest quality, both in terms of visual appeal, materials, and craftsmanship. Mid-century modern is notable for its blending of classic looks with a more updated feel.
The design language of this piece is entirely dedicated to the organic-modern style of the mid-20th century. Much like in Scandinavia, the mid-century era on continental Europe gave form to furniture pieces defined by quality, functionality, and reliability. The lovely shell body has effortlessly flowing lines with an open profile. The arms curve outwards highlighting the shape. It is evident from every single angle that the body was created with the sitter in mind, offering great ergonomic design. This model is built in a permanently reclined position, which is a key feature; the slightly reclined backrest and raised seat provide ultimate comfort both for the eyes and the body. The curved seat gives this model a sculptural and striking appearance. The splayed legs made of brass are characteristic of the time, adding a modern touch to the model. The legs are quite simple, which is a great design choice that contrasts with the colour and soft texture of the upholstery, while also letting it stand out. This lounge chair can seamlessly integrate into a variety of design schemes, enhancing the overall aesthetic and imbuing the space with a touch of timeless European elegance.
From every single angle, this lounge chair offers a stunning silhouette and visual depth. European designers believed that design could certainly be used to improve people's lives. This sentiment can be traced in the exquisite materials, the impeccable craftsmanship, and in the elegantly curved and rounded edges.
