Hand Shaped Bottle Opener in Patinated Sand Cast Iron 1960s

$ 325
  • Description
    Hand Shaped Bottle Opener in Patinated Sand Cast Iron, Asia - most probably Japan, 1960s.

    Cast in the shape of an open hand, this mid-century bottle opener features two circular seal motifs incorporating stylized Chinese characters associated with longevity and good fortune.

    Made of sand cast iron, the rough surface shows a deep, naturally aged brown-black patina with light pitting and wear consistent with use.
