Description
This nearly shaggy pile southwest Persian nomadic scatter presents a navy field with four charmingly irregular hooked lozenges in red, ivory, straw, teal and abrashed light blue. Two perky peacocks, octagons, rosettes and hooked diamonds add to the informality of the drawing. The borders comprise an outer ivory hooked 'dragon vine', a main red frame with yellow, orange-red. pale, light and royal blue, and teal multiply split leaves, and an inner undulating angular vine with profile florets. A truly genuine, authentic tribal rug in good condition.
