    A C R O T E R I O N is pleased to offer this extraordinary museum-calibre circa 1760 Irish Dublin manufacture blue and white delft platter or meat-plate of massive size and elongated octagonal form having elaborate painted compound border surrounding central landscape vignette of willow tree, peonies, and temple offerings directly copied from Chinese Qianlong period porcelain exportwares. An exceedingly rare and spectacular example in remarkable condition worthy of the finest collection.

    Provenance: Private Virginia collection; purchased from famed London dealer Jonathan Horne in 1989.
