Description
An exceptional Art Deco frosted glass chandelier, featuring striking fractile Cubist detailing and silvered bronze fittings, signed Muller Frères originates from France, Circa 1935.
The frosted glass elements are executed with sharply faceted, geometric reliefs that epitomize the Cubist-influenced Art Deco aesthetic, catching and diffusing light with dramatic effect. The silvered bronze frame and fittings provide a refined, architectural structure, enhancing the angular glass forms while adding a subtle metallic sheen that complements the soft luminosity of the frosted glass.
Signed by Muller Frères, one of the most esteemed French glassmakers of the period, this chandelier exemplifies the firm’s renowned craftsmanship and sophisticated design sensibility. An outstanding focal point for an entryway, dining room, or salon, it offers both sculptural presence and atmospheric illumination.
Newly rewired to American Standards and with height that can be adjusted to suit, this chandelier accommodates 2 Edison Base and 4 Candelabra base bulbs, achieving up to 440 watts of light. In Excellent Vintage Condition.
