A C R O T E R I O N is pleased to offer this wonderful, unusual, and generously scaled circa 1835 William IV period canterbury of late regency Irish style and manufacture, the solid rosewood 'case' of rectangular form having round 'button' finialled reeded 'caps' atop cylindric corner supports, all sides with round 'bossed' crest-rails above 'papilio' fretwork panels surmounting base with reverse gadrooned borders and single drawer with original knobs raised on reeded bun feet with original brass casters. An exemplary piece of Irish cabinetmaking retaining a beautiful warm patina.
