A delicate neo-renaissance Venetian style glass pitcher in a deep sea-green tone, its silhouette recalling the romantic revivalism of late 19th century decorative arts. Europe, early to mid 20th century.

Raised on a spreading circular foot, the body rises into a slender neck decorated with an applied twisted glass collar and an elegantly drawn handle.

The piece carries the spirit of earlier Venetian and medieval glass traditions. Beautiful hand blown quality, subtly irregular and with movement within its form. Tiny bubbles and variations suspended within the glass reveal the touch of the maker.

Both functional and sculptural, this glass piece possesses an almost theatrical presence and a beautiful color.

Comes in a good condition. Remnants of a makers mark sticker visible on the base.
