“Zet” blown glass bowl, designed by Czech designer Bořek Šípek for the Ajeto glassworks in the 1980s. This glass bowl is distinguished by its sculptural composition: a wide, clear glass basin punctuated with regular bubbles rests on a series of crackled pink glass spheres. This interplay of volumes and textures captures the light and accentuates the intensity of the color.

Inspired by the tradition of Bohemian glassmakers, Bořek Šípek revisits Bohemian glassmaking techniques with a free and expressive approach. Mouth-blown, this piece showcases remarkable glassmaking skill and a postmodern aesthetic characteristic of 1980s design.

Bořek Šípek (1949–2016) was a Czech designer and architect renowned for his expressive and colorful glass creations. Trained in Prague and later in the Netherlands, he developed a unique style blending Bohemian glassmaking tradition with postmodern aesthetics. Collaborating with several prestigious manufacturers, including Ajeto, he became a leading figure in the revival of Czech design at the end of the 20th century and also served as the architect of Prague Castle in the 1990s.
