!950s Italian cherry wood desk, the top, with a shaped edge, is covered with an original blue formica from the period, underneath there is the central part containing the drawers which has been cleverly detached from the top to lighten the overall structure to the eye, the front part of the drawers is embellished with two nice brass handles, the four supports with tapered lines clearly inspired by Giò Ponti are very beautiful , as is the chair.
The chair has been newly upholstered in velvet, the inclined line of the backrest at the end is higly sought after, as is the seat positioned to protrude forward, the side view is original with the bands under the seat shaped downwards while the wooden crosspieces underneath are inclined upwards.
The desk is in very good conditions as it has been recently restored by an expert craftsman.
