This antique wooden drying rack, traditionally known in France as an égouttoir, originates from the 19th century and was used for drying bottles, jugs and household utensils after washing. Crafted entirely by hand, it features rows of slender wooden pegs arranged within a robust frame, creating a striking linear composition. The weathered surface, natural wear and original incised numbering bear witness to decades of practical use and contribute to its remarkable authenticity.
