Description
Relay is a collection of 100% recycled and recyclable upholstered seating that redefines the relationship between aesthetics and structure. Designed for both indoor and outdoor use, it combines comfort, technical innovation, and design versatility.
Relay is the collection of chairs and armchairs designed by Paolo Vernier for MIDJ. Designed for both indoor and outdoor spaces, it embodies a new concept of design, where innovation, comfort, and sustainability become integral to the project. The result of a reflection on the product life cycle, Relay represents one of the most advanced expressions of Midj’s design approach: a collection made with 100% recycled and recyclable materials, developed to combine high performance, durability, and environmental responsibility. At the heart of the project is polypropylene, a lightweight, durable, and recyclable material that allows for the direct integration of solutions designed to improve comfort and functionality into the structure. From the underseat perforations, which promote air circulation, to the backrest attachment system, every detail is designed to make the seat more efficient and intuitive. The seat and backrest are designed to offer ergonomic and long-lasting comfort. The upholstery, available in leather, faux leather, or fabric, enhances the collection’s soft shapes and ensures reliable performance in any context. The four-legged base in painted polypropylene lends solidity and visual lightness, while versions with or without a hole in the backrest and with or without armrests allow Relay to be adapted to a variety of design needs. With Relay, sustainability isn’t just an added value; it becomes an integral part of the project, creating a collection that effortlessly interprets contemporary spaces.
