This circa 1960 French Baguès-style two-tier serving cart is distinguished by its elegant oval form and exceptionally refined brass detailing. The two rich mahogany shelves are framed by open brass galleries accented with delicate turned supports, while fluted vertical uprights rise to sculptural finials and gracefully arched handles at either end.
The quality of the metalwork and balanced proportions give the cart a particularly sophisticated presence, characteristic of the finest French mid-century interpretations of neoclassical design. Decorative brass wheels further enhance its elegant profile while retaining the cart’s original functionality.
The solid brass frame has been recently polished, restoring its warm, luminous finish. The mahogany shelves retain a rich, deep patina with minor surface wear consistent with age and use.
A handsome and highly decorative piece, equally suited for use as a bar cart, serving trolley, or occasional table.
