Fantastic looking dark blue mid century modern Murano glass vase, handcrafted in the renowed workshops of Murano in Italy around 1970. This example of a late 20th century Murano vase shows best how creative the artist already were in the 1970s: an absolute timeless contemporary design which searchs for its equal. The slightly twisted body combined with a breathtaking color gradient from dark blue on the top to a shining light blue on the base makes this piece a very decorative one. This unique coloration also creates a faint, light purple glow around this amazing looking vase. Depending on the insicdence of light, the base surprises with an amber colored shine. A true masterpiece of Italian glass art.
