An early 19th century (circa 1820) sycamore trestle ended tavern table of fine patina, probably from the West Country.

This table consists of a three plank solid sycamore top with cleated ends of fine, faded patina with steel edging leading down to a frieze below with moulded edge.

The table is supported by X frame trestle ends with original varnished patina joined by a central steel stretcher for stability.

This style of table were mainly used in taverns (pubs) during the 19th century due to their size, stability and versatility.

This table is in very good original condition for age, is of stable construction and can go straight into a home or tavern! – again due to the size this does make it a very versatile table.
