Pair of Round Cast Stone Garden Urns Attributed to Willy Guhl, C. 1970

Creator: Willy Guhl (Attributed)
Offered by: 2220 Antiques

Description
A stunning pair of hard-to-find models, these French cast stone round planters are attributed to Willy Guhl (1915–2004), the Swiss modernist designer whose work was widely produced and installed throughout Europe, including France, during the mid-20th century. The group displays the sculptural restraint and modernist sensibility associated with Guhl’s work, with a subtle taper and excellent garden presence. These planters offer a modernist flexibility in their indoor or outdoor placement, either blending in or serving as an eye-catching accent piece.
