Etcetera Lounge Chair and Ottoman by Jan Ekselius for J.O. Carlsson, Sweden, c. 1970
Measures 41” deep 25” wide 31” tall seat height 16”. Ottoman 25” long 19” deep 16” tall
A bent steel frame padded and stretched over with knit upholstery, so the chair reads as one continuous wave from headrest to floor. No legs, no visible base, no break between back and seat. The ottoman repeats the same curve at a smaller scale.
Ekselius designed it in his twenties. It was produced in Sweden by J.O. Carlssons Möbelindustri.
