Large Pair of Mid-20th Century Pink Salmon Tessellated Stone Obelisks

An impressive pair of large decorative tessellated stone obelisks, dating to the third quarter of the 20th century. Each obelisk features a striking pink salmon-colored tessellated stone surface, carefully arranged in a geometric pattern that emphasizes the architectural character and elongated form of these substantial decorative objects. The obelisks rise in a tall, slender architectural silhouette from substantial square bases, measuring approximately 6 inches by 6 inches. Each stands approximately 28 1/2 inches high, giving the pair an impressive vertical presence while maintaining a refined and minimalist appearance.
The natural variations in tone and pattern within the tessellated stone add depth and visual interest to each piece, while the geometric form allows them to complement a wide range of interiors. They can be displayed together as a symmetrical pair or positioned individually on a console, mantel, entry table, sideboard, or within a larger decorative arrangement. Highly versatile and architectural in character, these obelisks can complement traditional, modern, contemporary, Art Deco, and eclectic interiors. Their substantial scale and beautiful salmon-pink stone make them particularly effective as statement decorative objects.
