Description
Architectural in scale and exceptional in its execution, this impressive buffet features a linear front configured with five geometric, deep-molded panel doors. Each door panel features concentric square configurations recessing toward a highly unique, central square inlay motif. The fine-line geometric marquetry frames a striking, multi-toned starburst medallion, combining a light fruitwood or satinwood star against a dark ebony or stained-wood ground. Framed by a crisp, stepped border and clean, straight-grain cherry surfaces, the low-slung cabinet is elevated on two substantial, hand-carved scalloped bracket feet that deliver a subtle, high-style neoclassical anchor typical of luxury mid-century French cabinetmaking.
The interior features left and right double-door compartments each house a single, expansive wood-faced adjustable shelf running the full length of the section. The central panel opens independently to showcase a stack of four original cutlery drawers featuring integrated, flush-pull finger routing. Its expansive five-door width offers immense interior storage featuring as a dining room credenza, a living room media cabinet, or a grand entry vestibule. -
