Coffee Table by Luciano Frigerio for Frigerio di Desio, Italy, 1970s

Designed by Luciano Frigerio for Frigerio di Desio in the 1970s, this Italian coffee table combines a substantial wooden structure with a dark glass tabletop and carefully integrated brass details. The rectangular top is supported by four sculptural legs, each widening towards the floor into a rounded, faceted form. Fine vertical brass inlays follow the contours of the legs, while square brass caps accentuate the corners of the tabletop. The gently curved wooden apron introduces a softer line beneath the otherwise geometric composition.

The table reflects Frigerio's distinctive approach to furniture, in which traditional craftsmanship, rich materials and expressive forms come together. The contrast between the polished wood, dark glass and brass gives the piece a strong architectural presence without compromising its function. It forms part of a matching seating ensemble, with a lounge chair and three-seat sofa by Luciano Frigerio for Frigerio di Desio, both available in separate listings.
