Hazel (Mrs. William C.) Finck

American, 1894 - 1977
Hazel Finck is listed as having studied with Guy Wiggins and with Sigismund Ivanowski, a Russian born artist, who was active in Mountainside, New Jersey. Finck lived in Westfield, NJ and was very active in that state's art activities.

She held membership in and exhibited with the Newark Art Club, Irvington Art and Museum Association, Plainfield Art Association, New Jersey Gallery of Art and the Westfield Art Association. On a national level she was a member of the American Artists Professional League and the Art Student League of New York.

Her works were included in the exhibition of American art at the 1939 World's Fair and in exhibits at the Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts, the National Arts Club and with many other organizations.

During her career she was a teacher at the State Teachers College in DeKalb, Illinois and examples of her work are included in their collection.
